The first album from Slow Business, alias of Norfolk songwriter Dan Foden. Following on from popular groups The Great Shakes and Deadbeats, this is very much a solo record and a move from guitar music to piano music. All songs were composed on the 120 year old beaten up piano in Dan’s kitchen (3 house moves, one re-tuning), and some of them recorded on it with a single mic and an iPhone.

The writing is autobiographical, with a focus on nature (Country Mile, Reedham), fatherhood (You Are Me), childhood church-going (I’m Still Your Child) and existential thoughts (Beyond). From growing up in rural Suffolk to time spent in cars and stations travelling as far away from daily life as possible, these songs are about home and escape - into nature, into the past and into the unknown future. These are travelogues around the UK coast, from Dunwich to Brighton to the Kintyre Peninsula.
